Heri Bitamala is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Research on Anti-Corruption (CERC), a leader in driving innovative solutions for social accountability and anti-corruption. With over 10 years of experience in integrity-building programs in the South Kivu and Kinshasa regions, Heri Bitamala has researched about corruption and governance issues in DRC.

Musa Nzamu Jonathan, Regional Director (Kinshasa & Congo Central)

Jonathan is a vibrant, resourceful, and goal-oriented individual. He is a Public and Private Law graduate from ULPGL. With over 4 years of experience implementing justice and the rule of law programs, He joined CERC in October 2020 to support implementing accountability policies in the DRC’s education, health, and justice sectors.

Tafuteni Pendo Clovis, Regional Director (North & South Kivu)

Clovis is a development professional with over a decade of experience in the education sector in South Kivu. He holds a master’s degree in Community Development. He is passionate about youth civic engagement, anti-corruption, women empowerment, digital governance, social inclusion, and fiscal transparency.

Ms Wivine Byamungu, Finance Director

Ms Wivine is an experienced Accountant with over 5 years of experience managing finances in the non-profit sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from UPC. Since May 2021, she got more involved with CERC and learned about building integrity within organizations and government institutions.

Gloire Bwenge, Finance Officer

Mr. Gloire Bwenge holds a Master’s degree in monetary management from the Evangelical University in Africa in Bukavu. Mr. Gloire is a Chartered Accountant with 2 years of experience specializing in accounting, auditing, fiscal transparency, budget management, payroll management, and taxation.

Furaha Cebeya Elizabeth, Logistics Assistant

Ms. Esther holds a degree in monetary economics from the Evangelical University of Africa in Bukavu. Before joining CERC in November 2022, she spent 2 years as an intern in microfinance institutions and non-profit organizations in South Kivu. Ms. Esther has experience in institutional administration, logistics management, procurement, and developing proposals and business plans.

AImerance Buuma, Programme Assistant

Ms. Aimerance holds a Social Sciences / Peace and Conflict Transformation degree from the Evangelical University in Africa in Bukavu. Before joining CERC in November 2022, she spent 12 months as a Programme Assistant in several non-profit organizations in South Kivu. She passionately believes that education on integrity can potentially cultivate a fresh batch of morally upright leaders.

Ms. Matyabo Sifa Muriel, Education Officer

Ms. Sifa is a lawyer with a passion for social justice and anti-corruption. She holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Kinshasa.  Sifa joined CERC in August 2021 to support youth in monitoring education services and using data to improve their learning environment. Ms. Sifa is enthusiastic about building a transparent and corruption-free Congo.

Mr. Dalili Bitamala, Education Officer

Mr. Dalili is a technology professional with a passion for public sector transparency. He holds a professional degree in social sciences and community development. He joined the CERC team in April 2016 as a Programme Assistant to support the development of innovative approaches to social accountability in the education and health sectors.

Ms. Nzadi Disivi Janice, Finance and Administration Assistant

Ms. Janice has a degree in International Economics from the Protestant University of Congo and is knowledgeable in fiscal management, procurement, and accounting. Her interest lies in combating corruption, customs fraud and transnational corruption.

Ms. Noella Murhonyi, Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant (Kinshasa)

Ms. Noella has a Public Economics degree from the National Pedagogical University, research expertise, and monitoring and evaluation. Her intentions for joining CERC are to aid in the struggle against public finance corruption, which results in an annual loss of over 20 billion USD.

Mr. Ndola Dunia Reagan, Education Officer

Mr. Reagan holds a bachelor’s degree (BAC+5) in private and judicial law from the Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs in Goma. He joined CERC in April 2022 to support the implementation of the integrity improvement approach in secondary schools in South Kivu. He is passionate about fiscal justice and the accountability of decentralized entities.

Mr. Toyi Mirefu Théodore, Education Officer

Mr. Toyi Mirefu holds a bachelor’s degree (BAC+5 in Economics) in Financial Management from the Official University of Bukavu. He has extensive experience in peacebuilding and media consulting in several media outlets in South Kivu. As a Human Rights Defender, he is passionate about active nonviolence, community engagement, and mobilization.

Ms. Burholo Nakindja Lydie, Advocacy and Communication Assistant

Ms. Lydie holds a post-graduate degree in social organization from the Institut supérieur de développement rural. Before joining CERC in November 2022, she volunteered for two years in several humanitarian organizations in South Kivu. Ms. Lydie is passionate about promoting integrity and fighting corruption.

Mr. BOKAK’O MONGU Orman-Neville, Education Officer

Mr. Orman Neville is an independent researcher passionate about good governance and human rights. He joined the CERC team in April 2022 as Education Officer to support implementing the « Students Acting for Accountability and Quality of Education in DRC » program in 3 municipalities of Kinshasa.

Ms. Matyabo holds a master’s degree in social communication from the Catholic University of Congo. Before joining CERC in November 2022, she spent the last three years as a consultant for several programs in the field of education. Ms. Matyabo is passionate about approaches that aim to improve the quality of educational services.

Mr. AYAGIRWE BATUMIKE Gloire, Advocacy and Policy Engagement officer

Mr. Gloire holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Kinshasa. Before joining CERC in April 2022 as Advocacy and Policy Engagement Officer, Mr. Gloire gained extensive experience in program management and communication in several national organizations in Kinshasa and eastern DRC.

Ms. Esther holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the Université Lumière de Bujumbura. She joined CERC in November 2022 to support building institutions that are inclusive, accountable, and responsive to citizens’ aspirations. She is passionate about women’s engagement in combatting fraud and corruption in South-Kivu.

Mr. Cibambo Benjamin, Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant (Bukavu)

Mr. Benjamin holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from the Evangelical University of Africa in Bukavu. Before joining CERC in 2022, he spent two years at Leaders Academy working on the social reintegration of youth and street children. He joined CERC to support the implementation of the monitoring of educational services in DRC secondary schools.
