CERC has a new logo: what we do, and what we fix

CERC has redesigned its logo: a magnifying glass for research and monitoring, the map of the DRC where we work, and a check for integrity and the problems fixed.

Kinshasa, 15 October 2026 – The Centre de Recherche sur l’Anti-Corruption (CERC) has a new visual identity. After nine years of work in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, our logo now says at a glance who we are, what we do – research and citizen monitoring – where we work, and what we fix.

From the old logo to the new one

Since 2017, our logo showed the map of the Congo in orange, inside a grey circle, with a white check and our name written across the map. It said where we work and what we stand for – integrity – but not how we work. The new logo keeps the map and the check, adds what was missing – the magnifying glass of research and monitoring – and spells out our full name.

What we do: the magnifying glass

Our symbol is a magnifying glass, drawn like the C of CERC. It stands for research – the heart of our name – and for the close look that citizens take at public services. CERC studies the causes and consequences of corruption, and gives students, parents and citizens the tools to monitor their schools, health centres and public projects, with our apps EduCheck, GovCheck, HealthCheck and UNCAC Tracker.

Where we work: the map of the Congo

Inside the lens is the map of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our work is for the Congo and its people – from the Integrity Clubs of South Kivu and Kinshasa to the courts, universities and public institutions where we promote integrity.

What we fix: the check

On the map, a white check stands for integrity – and for problems fixed. Our approach does not stop at finding problems: students trained by CERC helped fix 33% of the problems they identified in their schools, from classrooms and toilets to water supply.

Our name, in full

Next to the symbol, our name is written in full – Centre de Recherche sur l’Anti-Corruption – in capitals, on two lines of the same width and in one colour. It is set in Draft Natural, a typeface with a hand-printed texture that recalls the stamps and documents our monitors work with every day.
